Charnwood Lodge Nature Reserve

This area covering 227ha is the nearest we can now get to experience what the ancient "Wastes of Charley" might have looked like before the Enclosure of the Charnwood Forest in the early 1820s.

For more detailed information on this wild and beautiful area in the parish of Charley please click here to visit the website of the Leicestershire and Rutland Wild Life Trust who now own and manage the area.
